Davinci ZeroG Multicopter Concept, Specs, and Release Date
aircraftconcept.com – Davinci ZeroG is a hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft designed by Davinci Technology, Vietnam. The company was founded in January 2017 by Đinh Quốc Trí in the city of Hanoi, and began designing the first manned drone prototype in 2015. The R&D team has four electronic and aerodynamic engineers, three flight control firmware and application software engineers, and two concept and mechanical designers . The DaVinci is a contestant in the GoFly competition sponsored by Boeing.
The manned ZeroG prototype conducted its first flight test on November 4, 2017. During the flight, the aircraft underwent about 10 manned tests conducted in attitude hold mode. This manned flight was carried out after six months of testing unmanned manned flights, with around 50 flights carried out at an altitude of about 2 m (6 feet).
ZeroG can take off and land anywhere, as long as it has a flat and clean surface. This allows operating in non-urban areas and can take off the backyard though. In urban areas, the aircraft will take off and land on a landing platform on the roof.
