Airbus Beluga XL Price, Engine, Cabin Interior, and Capacity – The Airbus Beluga XL (Airbus A330-743L) is a large transport aircraft based on the Airbus A330 aircraft. It has the largest cargo bay cross section of any existing cargo aircraft worldwide, providing 30% extra transport capacity to support the ongoing production increase of the commercial aircraft program.
The Airbus Beluga XL was launched in November 2014 and made its first flight on 19 July 2018. The Beluga XL received European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification on 13 November 2019 after taking tests of more than 200 flights and more than 700 hours. The aircraft entered service with Airbus Transport on 9 January 2020.

Compared to the existing Beluga, the Beluga XL fuselage is 6.9 meters longer and 1.7 meters wider, so it can lift a load of 6 tons heavier. For center of gravity reasons, the rear is based on the A330-300 while the front is on the A330-200, and the reinforced floors and structures are from the -200F. The Airbus Beluga XL has an exterior length of 62.5 meters, a tail height of 18.9 meters, a fuselage diameter of 8.8 meters and a wing span of 60.3 meters.
The main cargo door has 24 latches built by Stelia Aerospace. The vertical stabilizer is 50% larger; has additional fins on the horizontal stabilizer and two ventral fins under the empennage. The Beluga XL hatch has a maximum diameter of 8.8 m and infrastructure preparation at Airbus facilities includes adjusting the loading and unloading doors to accommodate the fuselage of the -600ST and XL.
The Beluga XL aircraft can fly non-stop over a maximum distance of 2,300 nautical miles (4,260 km) to a service altitude of 35,000 ft with a maximum payload capacity of 50,500 kg (111,000 lb). Its maximum cruise speed is 737 km / h (398 knots) with an approach speed of 137 knots.

Airbus had made five original Beluga aircraft in 2013. However, this could no longer keep up with the growth in aviation production. So Airbus assessed several other aircraft such as the Antonov An-124 and An-225, the Boeing C-17 or Dreamlifter, and the A400M before modifying one of its own.
